Saturn used to be a rather famous and popular subdivision of General Motors Company, one of the oldest and largest North American vehicle manufacturers that still remains one of the main players in the international vehicle market with such brands as Chevrolet, Cadillac and a few other. The company was shut down after bankruptcy. It was established in 1985 and was functioning till October of 2010 when it was decided to stop producing cars under Saturn brand after the negotiations about selling the brand to Penske Group came to naught. During its prosperity years the division became very independent due to its popularity among people from North America, and it even had its own production line, which wasn’t combined with any other subdivision brands.
Saturn used to offer such nice vehicles as Saturn Astra, an attractive and roomy hatchback, Saturn Aura, a classic sedan (General Motors suggest 15 other vehicles instead of Aura that are constructed and produced under GM Corporation brand as well like Chevrolet Sonic, Buick Regal, Cadillac CTS and other), Saturn Outlook, a nice crossover, Saturn Sky, a smooth and fast roadster, and Saturn Vue, which was and still is a comfortable and reliable SUV. Saturn was a great company with its own unique ideas and technologies however the market economy has no mercy for poor demand so there was no other choice but to shut down the production of vehicles under the brand.
