Ford introduces a great truck, which feels as good in the city as SVT Raptor by Ford on dirt. Raptor is rather huge, it looks clumsy on a parking lot of regular size, and it consumes fuel like an ice-breaker in Antarctica. At the same time we’ve got the F-150 Tremor, which seem to suit streets of the city perfectly. Thus, if you still feel fine with having half of the performance that Raptor shows but keep the looks, then you should consider an option of getting one.
The Tremor is called a sport truck. it’s not lowered and isn’t able to impress you with incredible side flanks of SVT F-150 Lightning with V-8 and 380 horsepower, but it’s certainly fast and can press you in driver’s seat. 2014 F-150 Tremor is the shortest model out of the available range and it has a 5.5’ bed, which usually goes with extended-cabs. The Tremor is equipped with 365-horsepower, turbocharged EcoBoost V-6 engine that is able to overtake SVT Raptor on a drag. No illusions though, it has no chance on a long distance.
Let’s see what it’s going to look like. The FX appearance package will provide you with 20-inch wheels of black color, matching running boards, a chrome exhaust tip, and all kinds of stuff inserted by Alcantara in red color (like red piping and steering-wheel). The infotainment system is standard but now it goes with actual knobs and buttons.
Taking into account all the mentioned, the stocky 2014 Tremor is a deserved addition to an already rich range of F-series. Actual pricing will be released by the upcoming fall when the new models will get to dealers.
